Why Choose Dry Carpet Cleaning?

Low-Moisture Dry Cleaning is ideal for homes that want carpets refreshed without waiting half a day for them to dry.

  • Touch‑dry in around 45 minutes

  • Drying times may vary depending on ventilation and humidity

  • Low‑moisture process — great for rentals and busy homes

  • No sticky residue — carpets stay cleaner for longer

  • Suitable for kids, pets, and allergy‑sensitive homes

  • No strong chemical odour — a fresh, lightly‑scented, neutral finish.

What Is Dry Carpet Cleaning (Encapsulation)?

Dry carpet cleaning uses a low‑moisture cleaning solution that attaches to dirt in the carpet. As the carpet is agitated, the solution surrounds and breaks down the soil, then begins to evaporate. During evaporation, the polymers in the solution start to crystallise, locking the soil inside a microscopic crystal. These crystals are not visible on the carpet — they’re tiny — and are removed during normal vacuuming. This gives a fast‑drying, low‑moisture clean without leaving sticky residue behind, leaving carpets cleaner longer.

When Low‑Moisture Cleaning Is the Better Choice

Low‑moisture cleaning is the better choice for busy households, rental inspections, units, apartments, elderly residents and allergy‑sensitive homes. It’s designed for light to moderate soiling and delivers a fast‑dry result with minimal disruption. This method suits regular maintenance cleaning where carpets need to look fresh, feel clean and be ready to walk on within minutes rather than hours.

Areas We Clean

We clean bedrooms, living areas, hallways, medium–heavy rugs, small offices, vacate properties and upholstery. Every area is assessed for fibre type and soil level, and the low‑moisture process is selected to deliver a safe, fast‑dry and effective clean.

Our Dry Carpet Cleaning Process

Pre‑vacuuming removes dry soil and prepares the fibres for treatment.

A controlled low‑moisture prespray is applied to begin breaking down soil.

The carpet is agitated to lift debris, open the pile and activate the encapsulation chemistry.

A bonnet pass is used to distribute the solution evenly and lift suspended soil from the fibre.

Fast drying occurs as the low‑moisture solution evaporates; an air mover is used when needed to ensure an even finish.

Once cured, a final vacuum removes the crystallised polymers and leaves the fibres clean and refreshed.

The carpet is groomed for a neat, uniform appearance.

Most rooms are touch‑dry in around 45 minutes.

The rotary machine lifts soil and restores the carpet’s appearance, but it also leaves circular agitation patterns in the pile. To finish the carpet properly, the fibres are groomed afterwards to reset the pile and remove these rotary swirl marks — example shown in the photo below. More on this process is explained on our Grooming & Raking page.

Light spill on carpet before Low‑Moisture dry clean — fibres matted and stain visible.

Cleaned and groomed after Low‑Moisture dry clean — spill removed and pile lifted back to a fresh, uniform finish.

Kids rug cleaned and groomed after Low‑Moisture dry clean — soil removed and fibres lifted back to a fresh, bright finish.

During inspection I’ll recommend the best cleaning method for your carpet or upholstery, based on fibre type, construction and soil level.

Each job is completed with a steady, methodical approach.

FAQ

Do carpets get wet?

Only lightly. Low‑moisture cleaning uses a controlled amount of solution, and most rooms dry in 30–60 minutes depending on airflow.

Will it remove stains?

Dry cleaning improves the appearance of most general spots and soil. Deep or older stains may need hot water extraction.

Can I walk on the carpet straight away?

Yes. Once dry, the carpet is ready for normal use.

Is this suitable for rentals?

Absolutely. Fast drying, no over‑wetting, and no risk of wick‑back makes it ideal for rental inspections and move‑outs.
